Anyone know any other ACTIVE 20in20's aside from my 3 on dreamwidth right now? I'd even take one's like 10in20 or 20in30 or whatever it is nowadays. I did all 3 my sets from my comms, now I'm bored lol.
I haven't really paid attention to any 20in20 or variations of it since I've burned out on them years ago, but I've seen icons10in20 mentioned in icon posts over on fandom_icons and it seems to be running a round currently.
Same, except for my 3 lol (I know, I bad). I forgot I did a round in icons10in20, I won green+pink with my icon on the last round, guess I'll have to try for this new round. Thanks for reminding me of it. :)
Your 20in20 communities make me itch to give it another chance, but I'll have to see how my mood and inspiration strikes me. Right now I might be more about just picking screencaps at random and playing around with them than trying to work around a prompt.
Glad they do that! I have fun with tvmovie and celeb, I've been iconning 9-1-1 and Chicago Fire mostly. Understandable, been wanting to do that to with different screencaps and episodes.
It doesn't help that I've made screencaps for all season 3 episodes of 9-1-1 Lone Star and just need to whittle down the amount of images I have per episode. I really should upload and share the two episodes I've already done (incidentally the two I've made icons for already as sorting out those images makes me look at all of them)
I wish I knew and had the programs to upload and share and to make zip files. Or I'd be capping: 9-1-1, 9-1-1 Lone Star and Chicago Fire like crazy to make shareable and downloadable. But alas don't know how to.
I use vlc player to make my screencaps. It's been a years since I downloaded it, but I think it's a free. I followed this tutorial, but I do have to close and restart the player after saving the settings or it will ignore them. More often than, I've had to specify the image width and height directly or the aspect ratio might be skewed (but those might have just been the NCIS or Highlander screencaps that have a different aspect ratio, but it's become habit by now.
The only issue I've found when it comes to source material since I started back up last year was (or was it two years ago?) is that the player won't work with blu-ray. I have to either use DVDs or video files I have on the computer.
As for the zip files, I either use 7zip or the functionality that windows offers depending on what I spot first in the context menu.
Oh I remember vlc player, I think I had it on my old computer before I got my new one. Ah, that sucks. I do have some blu-rays but not a lot, I think I remember that issue if it's the one I had. Video files?
I had 7zip (I still might) but never got the hang of it. Where do you go to upload your zips when you make it from that one? If you don't mind me asking.
If I figure this out, I'll be capping so much lol. Thanks for the info, I'll see if it can't help. :)
For the season 3 caps of 9-1-1 Lone Star I used *.mkv files and they did fine. I use it to watch (not screencap) a lot of fanvids I've downloaded throughout the years and they have a multitude of video formats.
I uploaded texture sets I made to mediafire.com and as I have 10GB available with a free account, I intend to upload the screencaps there. I just need to whittle them down a bit more so they don't take up too much space.
As for the 7zip - I typically create *.zip files to keep it compatible for a lot of people. I tend to prefer it due to the options it gives me when opening zip files.
I'd be happy to answer more questions if I've run into that before and have an answer for it :)

I primarily use it through the standard context menu, but I'm not sure if it ended up in there by default when I installed it or if I had to do something extra.
I haven't used facebook in years and the only messenger I use is WhatsApp. Outside of that I tend to use private messages on here or on instagram, but I'm more likely to check for messages here than on instagram.

Do you perhaps have fb or a messenger if I have any more questions?
